What kind of Pope does Ukraine need? Ambassador to the Vatican spoke about expectations from the Conclave.

Ukraine's hopes for support from the new Pope
Ukraine hopes that the new Pope will deeply understand its needs and continue the support provided by Pope Francis. This was stated by Ukraine's ambassador to the Holy See Andrii Yurash in an interview with 'Glavkom'.
The ambassador emphasized that it is important to have such a successor on the Chair of St. Peter who will be close to Ukraine and continue to support the state. He noted that Pope Francis most often reminded of Ukraine through his actions and called for prayers for it.
“Of course, we hope that the next Pope will continue this line. We hope it will be the same as with Pope Francis: both spiritual and moral support, as well as practical support,” the diplomat emphasized.
He also highlighted Pope Francis' initiative regarding the political and humanitarian mission carried out by Cardinal Matteo Zuppi concerning the release of prisoners and children. Ukraine hopes to see this line in the future Pope as well.
Preparation for the Conclave in the Vatican
Final preparations are underway in the Vatican for the Conclave, where the new Pope will be elected. All 133 cardinals have gathered in Rome to participate in the voting. Also, before the Conclave begins, the Vatican territory will be disconnected from mobile communication to ensure the confidentiality of the voting process.
