Account Arrest and Confiscation: Drivers Reminded About Deadlines for Paying Traffic Fines.

Ukrainian drivers were reminded about the deadlines and consequences of non-payment of fines for traffic violations.
The legislation provides 10 days to appeal the decision to impose a fine. Also within this period, it can be paid with a 50% discount, but only for violations recorded by automatic cameras. The general deadline for paying the fine is 15 days from the date of the decision.
In case of non-payment of the fine within the specified period, the case is transferred to the enforcement service. Executors have a wide range of powers to collect the debt, including the arrest of bank accounts, movable and immovable property, and a ban on leaving the country.
In the case of a significant amount of debt, a decision may be made to confiscate the property and sell it at auction. The proceeds from the sale are used to pay off the debt, and the remainder is returned to the violator. It is important that the debtor also has to pay an additional enforcement fee.
Previously, drivers were explained how automatic violation recording cameras work and where they are installed.
