The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, denied the possibility of Russia using large quantities of kamikaze strike drones daily. However, he stated that the Russian army is indeed capable of periodically launching up to 500 strike drones simultaneously.

According to Budanov, the enemy technically cannot use 400-500 kamikaze drones of the 'Shahed' type every day. He explained that such scales of attacks can only be episodic, not regular. At the same Time, the Russian military regularly optimizes and improves its strike drones, including installing CRP antennas, which complicate the detection of drones by air defense systems.

This technical modernization is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of attacks and reducing the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense in intercepting enemy drones.

The Russian military is also transitioning to a six-channel operation mode for drones, allowing multiple control or communication channels to be used simultaneously. This aims to enhance the effectiveness of attacks and reduce the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense in intercepting enemy drones.

It has been noted that although the Russian army may not use kamikaze drones daily in large quantities, their technical modernization and transition to a six-channel operation mode pose a threat to Ukrainian air defense and require increased attention and readiness.

A Ukrainian officer emphasized the potential threat from Russian strike drones that could be launched on a large scale, the improved technical base, and the use of cutting-edge technologies.
