Pension Indexation in 2025: How Much Ukrainian Payments May Increase.

Ukrainian pensioners were informed about when to expect pension indexation.
According to the Facts portal, pension indexation in Ukraine is planned for March 2025. This is very important in view of the constant increase in prices for goods and services.
Experts and media are discussing the possible size of the increase. Some believe that pensions may increase by 16.95%. However, scientist Lidiya Tkachenko from the Institute of Demography and Social Research mentioned a more cautious forecast - from 10 to 12% during her broadcast on Public Radio.
According to her, the final indicators of indexation will be known at the beginning of next year, despite statements by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Social Policy about budget expenditures for higher indexation. Payments will also depend on inflation and salary levels.
Currently, there are about 10.3 million pensioners in Ukraine. The average pension is 5852 hryvnias. More than half of pensioners receive from 3 to 4 thousand hryvnias per month, and more than a million people receive pensions over 10 thousand hryvnias.
An important component of the pension fund is payments under special programs, such as pensions for servicemen and people affected by the Chernobyl accident. The sources of funding for such payments are mostly abroad.
