The Eurasian Economic Union, which includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia, is working on creating a joint financial market and independent payment infrastructure. India plans to export electronics and aims to reduce dependence on China's influence in the region.
Moscow and New Delhi began discussing a potential trade agreement in July of last year, ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.
