The Ukrainian government has dispatched another batch of humanitarian aid to Syria. This Time - 3,850 tons of flour. The initiative is called 'Grain from Ukraine' and was launched by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, reported this. He also noted that in cooperation with the World Food Programme of the UN, the flour will be distributed among local bakeries in Syria. This batch will help feed nearly 60 thousand people over six months.
It was also reminded that earlier Ukraine had already sent 500 tons of wheat flour, which has been delivered to 33,250 families. The Minister of Agricultural Policy personally visited Syria and spoke with the Minister of Agriculture about their further needs.
