Israeli aviation struck targets in Syria
On the night of October 5, Israeli aviation carried out a series of strikes on central Syria, particularly targeting facilities in the Homs province. During the attack at the Palmyra airport, weapon depots belonging to militants from the 'Hezbollah' group were destroyed. This was reported by the Israel Defense Forces.
According to the information, the Israeli Air Force struck weapon and missile depots used by 'Hezbollah' at the Palmyra airport. This strike is part of Israel's campaign against the infrastructure of 'Hezbollah' and their allies in the region.
Israel continues to conduct military operations on Syrian territory to eliminate sites threatening its national security. The Israeli government has repeatedly stated that it will not allow the strengthening of Iran's positions and its allies on Syrian soil.
Recall, earlier Israel carried out strikes on the capital of Syria, resulting in the death of a well-known television presenter.
Also, the Israel Defense Forces declared the area around three settlements on the border with Lebanon a closed military zone.
Previously, it was reported that as a result of massive Israeli airstrikes against 'Hezbollah' in southern Lebanon, about 300 people were killed and over 1000 were injured.
