Commander of the Georgian Legion fighting in Ukraine warns of danger.

Commander of the Georgian National Legion Mamuka Mamulashvili spoke about the motivation of his fighters in the Ukrainian war. He noted that Georgia has become a reflection of what is happening in Ukraine.

'This has already happened three times in Georgia. Unfortunately, Georgia could not attract the attention of the international community due to its size, population, and geopolitical position. They even started blaming Georgia for attacking Russia. Ukraine has become the first country where something like this happened after the collapse of the Soviet Union. We warned that this could happen, but nobody believed us,' Mamulashvili emphasized.

According to him, citizens of Ukraine still say that back in 2014, they could not imagine that Russia would start an invasion.

'Few believed that such a thing could happen before 2022. We, the 'Georgian Legion', were training civilians on how to resist and provide first aid during shelling. We already knew that Russia would start a war. Information from British and American intelligence indicated that Russia would attack Ukraine. And it happened,' the commander continued.

Mamulashvili noted that the war is a result of the hypocrisy of Western politicians and that not only Putin is to blame for it.

'Human indifference and hypocrisy lead to such terrible events. We got what we deserved. It seems to me that we are on the brink of World War III. In the previous two world wars, aggressors did not receive a worthy response from the civilized world, and this is what inspires Russia, China, and Iran to commit similar aggression. Most countries are practically indifferent to the fate of Ukraine, just as they were indifferent to the fate of Georgia. Unfortunately, we have a high probability of a confrontation in World War III,' Mamulashvili warned.

Earlier, a well-known veteran spoke about the necessity for Ukraine to win this war.

Former NATO commander James Stavridis suggested that the war in Ukraine would end provided Putin maintains control over 20% of the territory.

Analysts at the International Monetary Fund updated their forecast for the duration of the war between Russia and Ukraine, postponing the end of intense hostilities by another year.
