Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky made a trip to military units and divisions participating in combat operations in Sumy and Kursk regions. This information was published by the General Staff of the AFU.
“Despite all attempts by the enemy to seize the initiative, the situation remains under our control. I worked directly at brigade command posts. I listened to brigade commanders and their proposals for further actions, provided assistance in solving problematic issues,” emphasized the Commander-in-Chief.
Syrsky also stated that he made a number of decisions aimed at preventing enemy actions and inflicting as much damage as possible on them.
“Despite the occupiers' advantage in manpower and equipment, the quality and professionalism of Ukrainian military personnel do not allow the Russian aggressor to achieve its goals. We are sincerely grateful to our soldiers, sergeants, and officers for their courage, resilience, and endless martial labor,” Oleksandr Syrsky emphasized.
According to the analysis of maps and satellite images from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the occupiers are actively operating in Donetsk region and advancing in Kursk region. According to the AFU, Ukrainian forces have partially managed to achieve success in the Kupiansk direction.
Recently, Russian troops advanced into the territory of the main “Ukrainian stronghold” in Kursk region and have continued fighting in this area since October 19. Geolocated images from October 18 indicate that Russian forces advanced west of Rus’ka Konopelka, which is located east of Sudzha.
