In Volyn, volunteers offer to recycle Russian books into toilet paper.

Volunteers from the public organization UA Resistance Foundation are urging local residents to bring Russian books.

The collected books will be used to produce toilet paper, which will be sent to the military at the front.

Activists ask to bring the books to the collection point in Kovel, address: Independence Street, 94.

The campaign will last until the end of November, and the collected books will be taken to the 'Kovel Paper Mill'.

Volunteers have already collected about 1 ton of waste paper from medium-sized books.

This campaign is a way to support the Ukrainian military and a call to reject Russian literature.

Volunteers also urge residents of other cities to donate Russian books and allocate money to support the military.

At the same Time, a law restricting the import and distribution of publishing products from Russia, Belarus, and occupied territories of Ukraine was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

This law establishes a ban on the import and distribution of publishing products from the mentioned countries and provides for the issuance of books in Ukraine in original languages or languages of the EU and indigenous peoples of Ukraine.

The law also prohibits the import of materials of anti-Ukrainian content.

On a legislative level, Russia also prohibits the publication of books about the history of Ukraine, and there are plans to ban Ukrainian literature in occupied territories.
