Repeatedly tried to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Let us remember soldier Serhiy Trofimchuk.

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians remember all those who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we recall Serhiy Trofimchuk.
On March 26, 2025, soldier Serhiy Oleksandrovych Trofimchuk died while carrying out a combat mission in the Pokrovsk direction. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' with reference to the Rivne City Council.
Serhiy Trofimchuk was born on April 11, 1984, in Rivne. He graduated from secondary school No. 26 and received a profession as a chef-pastry chef at the Rivne Higher Vocational School of Restaurant Service and Trade.
After his studies, Serhiy served in the army as part of the border troops.
For the past 20 years, he worked at the 'Akord-S' enterprise.
During the Russian invasion, Serhiy tried to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but he was not accepted due to temporary unfitness. However, in November 2024, after receiving a summons, he stood up to defend his homeland.
'He wanted to go there. He could not sit at home while others fought. He was in his element,' recalls his wife, Tetyana.
Serhiy was a man of principles, always fighting for justice. He loved his family, had a strong spirit and devotion to his country.
Unfortunately, on March 26, 2025, 40-year-old soldier Serhiy Oleksandrovych Trofimchuk died while carrying out a combat mission in the Pokrovsk direction.
The defender was buried on March 31, 2025, at the Alley of Heroes in Tynne.
Serhiy Trofimchuk is survived by his wife, son, and mother.
Hlavkom joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the fight for their homeland. We remember those who lost their lives to Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance and bow our heads in mourning during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who perished in the struggle against Russian occupiers and due to the attack of enemy forces on Ukrainian cities and villages.
