New Fines for Drivers in Ukraine: Lawyer Discusses Fakes and Real Changes in Traffic Regulations.

Recently, among Ukrainian drivers, information has been spreading about large fines for violations of traffic regulations, which can reach up to 34,000 UAH. Lawyer Anton Boltik urged motorists to be careful and not to believe all the information that is circulating.
'Recently, I have been encountering a lot of fakes,'
In particular, one of the rumors is about the cancellation of the 'non-fined' threshold for exceeding speed by 20 km/h. However, Anton Boltik stated that there is currently no such bill. He also noted that not all legislative initiatives go through all stages and come into effect.
Fakes and Real Bills
The lawyer also examined other rumors about new fines for loud exhaust and drifting in populated areas. Draft laws that provide for such fines do exist, but their consideration has currently stalled at the initial stages. For example, for noise level, a fine of 17,000 UAH can be imposed for the first violation.
'There are moments regarding the definition of loud exhaust: who will be responsible for this, how it will be checked, with what appropriate devices,'
It was also mentioned that there might be fines for using winter tires in summer. The lawyer confirmed the existence of the relevant bill but emphasized that it is currently not progressing towards adoption.
Ukrainian drivers should be cautious about the widespread rumors of high fines for traffic violations, as many of them are unreliable. However, some bills proposing increased fines for certain violations do exist, but their adoption is currently uncertain. Therefore, it is important to verify information and adhere to traffic regulations to avoid possible fines.
