The EU defense industry will increase the production of weapons for Ukraine - European Commissioner.

EU countries plan to produce approximately 2 million artillery shells by 2025. This was stated by European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius.
According to him, 20 to 25% of weapons are produced in EU countries, while the rest is imported. However, the increase in production depends on orders from European governments, which are currently insufficient.
The new European Commissioner also noted that money from the EU budget cannot be used to purchase weapons for Ukraine. However, funds from the European Peace Facility or frozen Russian assets can be used.
Ukraine will receive about 30 billion euros from the EU next year and will decide for itself how much of this money to spend on defense purposes. In addition, the EU is launching a new mechanism for integrating the Ukrainian defense industry into the European defense industry.
