A survey revealed how many Ukrainians cannot afford basic products.


According to a survey by the Razumkov Center conducted in September 2024, 12.2% of Ukrainians report that they do not have enough funds even for essential food products.
The study showed that the largest group of respondents – 40.7% – have enough money for living but face difficulties in purchasing durable goods. Another 35.8% of respondents reported having enough funds for food and essential inexpensive items.
Only 0.5% of Ukrainians indicated that they can afford to buy almost anything they want. On the other hand, 9.3% of respondents live comfortably but cannot currently make large purchases such as an apartment or a car.
Consumer habits of Ukrainians when purchasing food products were studied separately. 44.2% of respondents choose the cheapest products, even if they have worse quality. At the same Time, 44.8% prefer higher quality and healthier products despite the higher price.
