An Israeli football legionnaire has died
Midfielder of 'Maccabi' Haifa and the Israeli national team Gadi Kinda passed away at the age of 32 due to cancer, reports 'Glavkom'.
Kinda was born in Ethiopia and moved to Israel with his family. The footballer played for several clubs, including 'Ashdod', 'Kansas City', and 'Beitar' from Jerusalem. In the current season, he noted 30 matches, 1 goal, and 3 assists for 'Maccabi'. In addition, he played 10 matches and scored 2 goals for the Israeli national team.
On March 29, Kinda last played for 'Maccabi' in a match against 'Hapoel', after which his condition quickly deteriorated. Two weeks ago, the footballer was hospitalized in serious condition, but doctors could not save him.
It has also been reported about the death of former Latvian national team forward Andrei Prokhorenko, who was 48 years old. A malignant tumor was found in Prokhorenko at the end of 2024. The footballer made his debut for the Latvian national team in 2002 and participated in Euro 2004.
