According to the Czech leader, Europe has all the tools necessary to compel the Kremlin to sit at the negotiating table. At the same Time, Pavel stressed that this cannot be achieved without further military support for Kyiv and enhanced sanctions pressure on Moscow.

He also believes that such negotiations should cover issues of troop deployments near borders, the scale and frequency of military exercises, inspections, as well as the situation in the Arctic and Black Seas.
It is noteworthy that the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, had previously stated that European leaders urged U.S. President Donald Trump to take a tougher stance on Russia during a closed dinner at a NATO summit.
