RF uses Soviet guns in the war against Ukraine: where they are sourced from.

The Russian army may be shelling Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk region with the help of the D-74 gun, developed in the Soviet Union at the end of the 1940s. This is reported by Business Insider.
According to the publication, the D-74 guns were not supposed to remain in Russia's arsenal. After production, the USSR exported them to friendly countries such as Vietnam and China. It was previously believed that all reserves of this weapon were transferred to allies.
The article suggests that the use of the D-74 gun in the military conflict with Ukraine indicates that Russia may be importing these guns or at least ammunition for them from North Korea.
Business Insider also notes that Russia may be trying to display its significant military resources in this way. But the use of old Soviet weaponry points to the fact that arms production is not keeping up with the pace of battlefield losses.
It is noted that the head of the Ministry of Defense of South Korea, Kim Young Hyun, considers it highly likely that military personnel from North Korea are fighting on Russia's side in Ukraine.
Also, in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), it was is stated that soldiers from North Korea are participating in the war in Ukraine. Some personnel are also undergoing military training in Russia for possible deployment alongside Russian forces.
It is known that as a result of a missile strike near Donetsk on October 3, more than 20 military personnel were killed, including six officers from North Korea. Three more military personnel from North Korea were injured. The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, stated that the presence of North Korean military in the Donetsk region is connected with the use of weapons by the Russians from the DPRK.
