Russian swimmer who appeared in propaganda video receives neutral status.

One of Russia's most famous swimmers, Kliment Kolesnikov, has received neutral status for competitions under the auspices of the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics). This news became known, as reported by Glavkom.
It should be noted that Kolesnikov, along with other athletes, participated in a propaganda video in which he congratulates dictator Vladimir Putin on his birthday. The video became a real scandal.
It is reported that Kolesnikov was granted the status of a 'neutral' athlete due to his merits and high achievements in swimming. He became a two-Time Olympic medalist in 2020 and a six-time world champion in short course swimming.
Kolesnikov's involvement in the propaganda video was initiated by the organization 'Healthy Homeland', which is under sanctions from Ukraine due to its participation in the mass abduction and relocation of Ukrainian citizens from occupied territories to Russia.
It is also worth noting that another Ukrainian athlete, wrestler Iryna Kolyadenko, refused to take a photo with Russian athlete Dinar Kudayeva, the daughter of a destroyed Russian occupier. Kolyadenko left the European Wrestling Championship with a bronze medal in the weight category up to 65 kg.
Despite the scandal, the International Wrestling Federation continues to allow Kudayeva to compete.
Analysis:
This news raises questions about the consequences and reactions to the sports scandal involving Russian athletes. It shows that even after such cases have been revealed, some sports federations still continue to allow Russian athletes to compete. This issue emphasizes the need to adhere to the requirements of the International Olympic Committee regarding 'neutral' status for athletes from Russia.
