Terekhov estimated how much money is needed for the complete reconstruction of Kharkiv.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov spoke about the constant terrorist attacks from Russia that have damaged over 12,000 buildings in the city, of which 8,500 are residential.
In a comment to Novyny.LIVE at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, Terekhov stated:
In my estimates, approximately 10 billion euros are needed to restore Kharkiv to its previous state. These are huge sums that no city in the world has. Therefore, we need to unite efforts — both of European countries and the USA. The reconstruction must be comprehensive.
The mayor emphasized the importance of holding such events and conferences, as investors are hesitant to engage in large projects due to the war. Despite this, Kharkiv has already rebuilt 1,200 houses since the beginning of the invasion.
- The situation in Kharkiv once again highlighted the dramatic consequences of Russian aggression in Ukraine. The mayor expressed hope for the support of European countries and the USA in the restoration of the city, and also emphasized that the main task now is to achieve peace, which will facilitate investments and economic recovery.
