Ukrainian title-winning futsal player Babенко died at 31 from cancer.


Ukrainian futsal player Taisiya Babенко passed away at the age of 31 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Throughout her career, she played for the teams 'Nika' and 'PZMS' in futsal, as well as for the clubs 'Lider' and Women's Football Club 'Vorskla' in football. She was a member of the national teams of Ukraine in futsal and beach soccer, where she became the runner-up in Europe and a bronze medalist at Euro-2022. The Futsal Association of Ukraine expressed its condolences to Taisiya's family and loved ones.
It is also reported that Luka Maiksner, a midfielder for the 'Roetlingen' team, died at the age of 22. His body was found dead in bed before the New Year holidays. The club expressed its condolences to Luka's family and friends. On January 4, Oleksandr Humenyuk, a former goalkeeper and coach of the Ukrainian youth football team, also passed away at the age of 48.
The farewell to Taisiya Babенко will take place on January 10 in Poltava. This is a loss for Ukrainian futsal, and all her colleagues and loved ones support the family in this difficult Time.
