In Poland, 'civil patrol' attacked a hostel with workers from Ukraine.

In the Polish city of Żyrardów near Warsaw, a troubling incident occurred involving an attack on foreign workers. A group of local residents, known as a 'civil patrol', attacked a hostel where labor migrants were staying. This was reported by the newspaper Wyborcza.pl.
The incident began with a gathering of about two dozen people who responded to calls on social networks. The organizers claimed their goal was to 'protect Polish identity' and expressed dissatisfaction with the presence of foreigners in the country.
Late in the evening, some members of the 'patrol' approached a workers' hostel in the city center. According to eyewitnesses and video recordings, the attackers threw objects and tried to break in. Several migrants, including citizens of Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, suffered physical violence.
A businessman who provides jobs for foreign workers at the hostel told journalists that the attackers used their fists and improvised means such as chairs. He emphasized that this attack had a distinctly xenophobic nature.
The victims did not contact the police. The employer believes this is due to their distrust of local authorities and fear of possible consequences.
This incident had serious repercussions for the migrants. Many of them did not go to work out of fear. A bus transfer was organized for their safety.
Żyrardów police have launched an investigation into the incident. Law enforcement officers are analyzing video recordings and collecting information on possible violations of the law.
In July, a Belarusian woman was beaten in Poland, mistaken for a Ukrainian. The attackers demanded that she 'go back to her Ukraine.'
