In Vinnytsia, police detained a man who beat a woman and shot at a passerby.


In the Vinnytsia region, police detained a man who, under the influence of alcohol, first attacked a woman and then shot at a passerby in the village of Agronómichne near Vinnytsia.
According to the police, the conflict between the offender, a 41-year-old man, and the victim, a 34-year-old man, arose because the latter saw the man with a gun. The man opened fire at the passerby, who sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
“Investigators are conducting a pre-trial investigation into the facts of criminal offenses provided for by law,” police reported.
During a search of the offender's vehicle, items resembling weapons were found. The man was detained in his apartment, where he was hiding. He faces up to 7 years in prison. A similar incident also occurred in Chernihiv, which is also being investigated by the police.
