Ukraine has evidence of Russia's plans to restart the ZNPP - Galushchenko.

Ukraine has reliable evidence that Russia has not abandoned its plans to restart the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and illegally integrate it into the energy system of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
'Ukraine has reliable evidence that Russia has not abandoned its plans to restart the ZNPP and illegally integrate it into the energy system of the temporarily occupied territories. Public statements from the leadership of 'Rosatom' confirm their intention to restart the plant under Russian control, despite attempts to mislead the director general of the IAEA,' said Herman Galushchenko during a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors.
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Galushchenko, emphasized that such actions by Russia are a gross violation of international law and a threat to nuclear safety.
He noted that all six energy blocks of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant are in a state of 'cold shutdown' according to the requirements of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.
The minister emphasized that Russian forces continue the militarization of the station and the surrounding occupied territories, using them as a base for shelling Ukrainian-controlled areas.
Galushchenko emphasized the problems that threaten the safety of the energy blocks, such as the stability of external energy supply, availability of a reliable cooling water source, availability of qualified personnel, and maintenance of structures.
He also noted that Russia hinders the work of IAEA experts at the Zaporizhzhia NPP by canceling planned rotations of mission members.
According to the minister, such actions by Russia indicate an attempt to conceal military activities on the territory of the NPP and complicate the assessment of the security situation.
