Ukraine and Britain signed a 100-year agreement: 10 key areas.


Ukraine and Great Britain have signed a historic agreement on a century of partnership, which provides for deep cooperation in various fields. The document was signed on January 16, 2025, in Kyiv by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer.
The agreement is set for 100 years and covers ten key areas of cooperation. In the field of defense, it foresees the strengthening of military and defense-industrial capabilities, including the development of armed forces and cooperation between the defense-industrial complexes of both countries. Special attention is paid to technology transfer for the joint production of defense products.
The document confirms Britain's support for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations and recognizes NATO membership as the best guarantee of our state's security. Cooperation in maritime security is also separately noted. The agreement also provides for improving conditions for investment and trade, cooperation in transport, infrastructure, and energy. Significant attention is also paid to scientific and technological cooperation and socio-cultural development.
The agreement is of great importance for both countries and will come into force after all procedures are completed. It demonstrates Britain's support for Ukraine's aspirations and the necessity of protecting Ukraine from Russian aggression.
