Ukraine and the Netherlands plan to launch an annual bilateral intergovernmental conference in the spring to promote our country’s membership in the EU.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga announced this during a joint press conference with Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp in Kyiv, as reported by Ukrinform.
Sybiga noted that one of the topics of negotiation was further integration of Ukraine into the EU and NATO.
'We appreciate the support of the Netherlands and are working on launching the annual bilateral intergovernmental conference. This format will facilitate Ukraine's advancement towards EU membership and enhance our relations with the Netherlands. We plan to hold the first meeting of such a conference in the spring,' said Sybiga.
He also emphasized that special attention was given to the development of trade and investments.
'Ukraine is interested in increasing trade volumes and attracting Dutch companies to modernize Ukraine, restore the energy system, and jointly enter third-country markets,' said the Foreign Minister.
