Ukrainians were explained how frosts will affect power outages.

Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolesnyk spoke about the possibility of new power outages in Ukraine due to frosts next week. He noted that the situation in the country's energy sector remains stable, despite the loss of significant capacity by distribution systems as a result of strikes by the Russian Federation.
Kolesnyk reminded that the largest repair campaign is ongoing to stabilize the energy system's operation and increase its resilience. He noted that no new outages will occur next week due to lower temperatures, as the energy system operates stably, and the frosts will be short-lived. The heating season begins when the temperature is slightly below 8 degrees for three days, so prolonged temperature drops affect increased electricity consumption.
Moreover, Kolesnyk noted that 9 nuclear units are operating in Ukraine, allowing for the increased electricity demand to be met.
It should be noted that multi-story buildings in Kyiv appeared, where lights will not be turned off during blackouts.
