Ukrainians are increasing their foreign currency deposits: how much money they keep in banks.


Ukrainians are increasingly raising their foreign currency deposits and withdrawing hryvnias from banks. This is reported by the press service of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
As of February 1, the total amount of deposits in the banking system of Ukraine amounted to 1.37 trillion hryvnias.
Individual entrepreneurs make up only 3.2% of the total number of depositors, but their share in the total amount of bank deposits is significantly higher - 11.1%. The total deposits of individual entrepreneurs amount to 152.7 billion hryvnias.
The structure of deposits shows that almost half (49.7%) of all deposited funds consist of large deposits exceeding 600,000 hryvnias. At the same Time, the majority of Ukrainians - 57.4% of the total number of depositors - have medium-sized deposits ranging from 10,000 to 200,000 hryvnias.
