Umerov: Ukraine Strengthens Defense Cooperation with Portugal.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, held a phone conversation with the Minister of Defense of Portugal, Nuno Melo. He thanked the Portuguese partners for supporting Ukraine and received assurances that Portugal would not lower its level of assistance in 2025. Prospects for cooperation in the defense industry were also mentioned.
Umerov suggests considering the possibility of directing funds to finance Ukrainian production in 2025. The parties agreed to hold consultations regarding the capabilities of our defense industry. Special attention will be paid to issues of interaction regarding the supply of drones for the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as Umerov noted.
The ministers intend to meet in person in January at the 'Ramstein' format meeting to discuss further steps to strengthen security cooperation between Ukraine and Portugal in 2025.
