Spring Break 2025: When Ukrainian Schoolchildren Will Go on Vacation.

Due to the war initiated by Russia, significant changes have occurred in the education system in Ukraine. In order to ensure safety, educational institutions have been granted more authority in planning the educational process.

According to Facts ICTV, during the spring break of 2025, students will have a vacation from March 24 to March 30 inclusive, and will return to studies on March 31.

According to a government decree, in the current academic year, which began on September 2, 2024, classes will conclude on June 30, 2025.

It is important to note that according to the law 'On Complete General Secondary Education', pedagogical councils have the right to independently determine the duration and dates of the vacations, but the total duration of vacations during the academic year cannot be less than 30 days.

Educational institutions also have the ability to adapt the structure of the academic year to local conditions, particularly taking into account electricity supply. Schools can choose the format of education by quarters, semesters, or trimesters, as well as set the duration of breaks between classes.

In some regions of Ukraine, where the security situation has worsened, schools have been forced to switch to remote learning and suspend in-person classes.

It is also worth mentioning the problem faced by teachers related to the outflow of students.
