From 128 to 2,000 euros: how the average pension differs in Ukraine and the world.


Ukrainians have been shown the difference in pension amounts in various countries around the world.
According to data for 2025, the average pension in Ukraine is 5789 hryvnias (approximately 128 euros). At the same Time, about a quarter of Ukrainian pensioners receive less than 3,000 hryvnias per month. In comparison, in European Union countries, the average pension amount is 1294 euros per month.
The size of pensions varies greatly depending on the country:
The highest pensions (over 2,000 euros per month):

High pensions (1,700-2,000 euros):
- Finland
- Belgium

- Ireland
- The Netherlands
Average pensions (1,000-1,500 euros):

Pensions below average (700-1,000 euros):

- Cyprus

Low pensions (400-600 euros):

It is worth noting that these figures do not reflect purchasing power, as the cost of living varies in different countries.
