The Ukrainian delegation has begun negotiations with the European Commission regarding section 27 'Environment and Climate Change'. This is already the fifth meeting within this cluster in which Ukraine participates. The chief negotiator, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna, expressed confidence in continuing work on climate goals even in the midst of military conflict.

Strategies and reforms aimed at achieving climate neutrality by 2050 have already yielded some results. Even during the difficult times of war, Ukraine continues to fulfill its commitments in environmental protection and reducing the impact on climate change.

'We were one of the first European countries to adopt ambitious climate targets for 2030. We have been working very intensively towards achieving them, and today, despite the situation with aggression, we reaffirm our readiness to comply with these targets,' emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

Ukraine continues its 'green' attitude

Ukraine is actively developing and implementing strategies for environmental preservation and adaptation to climate change. Meetings with the European Commission will help continue cooperation in these areas until June 2025.

Despite the challenging conditions of war, Ukraine maintains its commitments and continues to take steps towards 'green' development aimed at achieving climate neutrality in the future.
