ISW recorded large-scale Russian information campaigns against Ukraine.

At the Institute for the Study of War, they claim that the Kremlin actively uses social networks to conduct large-scale information campaigns against Ukraine and the West, in order to protect its interests.
The report talks about a leak of documents that reveal the volumes and scales of Russian information operations in social networks.
The company Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, on September 17 banned the Russian state media Russia Today (RT) and other related organizations because of their activities related to foreign interference.
Also, on September 13, the US State Department imposed sanctions against individuals associated with RT, accusing them of conducting information operations, influencing society and military procurement in favor of the Kremlin, aimed against the countries of Europe, Africa, North, and South America.
According to research by journalists of Radio Liberty's "Schemes" project, earlier German and Estonian media received thousands of documents revealing the work of the Russian company "Agency of Social Design" (SDA), which was recognized as part of the Kremlin's general operations to spread malicious influence "Twin".
This company, according to "Schemes", distributed fake official documents, including orders from the Ministry of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, which were used to "discredit the military-political leadership of Ukraine and demoralize the Armed Forces of Ukraine".
In addition, SDA created fake documents from European government institutions, fake news from European media, as well as anti-Ukrainian memes that were actively spread on social networks.
According to ISW estimates, Russia continues to actively use social networks to conduct information operations with the aim of interfering in elections and destabilizing the situation, as well as evading sanctions.
