Three cities of Ukraine modernize heating supply systems.


The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has approved the projects of heating supply schemes until 2034 for Kryvyi Rih, Chernihiv, and Varash in the Rivne region.
In Kryvyi Rih, the construction of new boilers, cogeneration plants, and the replacement of heating networks is planned. In Chernihiv, the modernization of boiler houses and the creation of solar power plants is planned. In Varash, the construction of facilities using household waste energy is envisaged.
In addition, in Kryvyi Rih, the construction of 12 new boilers, installation of 27 cogeneration units, and 37 new boilers at existing boiler houses is planned. There will also be partial decentralization of two district boiler houses and a planned replacement of 58% of heating networks.
In Chernihiv, modernization of 5 and reconstruction of 11 boiler houses are planned, as well as the establishment of local solar power stations, the creation of a waste processing complex with the preparation of SRF fuel and the production of thermal and electrical energy from its combustion, and the replacement of worn heating networks.
Improving accessibility and efficiency of heating supply
In Varash, it is planned to build 13 new facilities with a total thermal load of 17.1 Gcal/h, the construction of a complex using the energy potential of household waste, and the reconstruction of heating networks with a total length of 11.8 km to reduce heat energy losses, etc.
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development plans to improve heating supply in the cities of Kryvyi Rih, Chernihiv, and Varash. In this context, reconstruction, modernization, and construction of new facilities are envisaged to provide residents with the necessary thermal energy with efficient resource use and reduced environmental impact.
